Welcome to The Physiological Society

Physiology is the science of how humans and other animals function in an integrated way and is the basis for many biological and clinical sciences. Founded in 1876, The Physiological Society is a learned society with over 2,800 Members drawn from over 50 countries. The majority of our Members are engaged in research, in universities or industry, into how the body works.
