In US, this kind of surgery is done with inhalation induction. Anesthesia is maintained with face mask with volatile anesthesia gas. Most of the time, the pediatric anesthesiologist chooses not to put in an iv catheter. So it goes like this: the anesthesiologist asks the child to breath through the face mask; the kid goes to sleep in a few breaths; with the face mask tied to the patient's face to maintain anesthesia, turn the head to one side, surgeon inserts one ear tube; then turn the head to the other side, surgeon insert the other ear tube; then turn off the anesthesia gas, increase fresh O2 flow, wake the patient up.作者: wang97126 时间: 2012-7-10 14:32
