An external validation of the model is now required.
最新的《麻醉学》杂志（2012年12月）报道了通过电脑建立一定的模型可以帮助更准确的评估困难气道，通过研究发现这种模型可以大大降低评估的不确信区间。但是目前这种模型还未被批准。
