【Abstract】Anesthesiologists are also perioperative physicians,Whether the name of the departiment of anesthesiology is changed or not.The three things,preoperative assessment,intraoperative anesthesia and postoperative analgesia, should be done well,perioperatively.With anesthesiogist participation,the painless gastrointestinal endoscope has developed continuously and become a major highlight of the day surgery. In perioperative periods the research topics of anesthesiologist should result“from bedside and back to bedside”，so that such research and development of new medicine or technology will be advantageous to enhance recovery after surgery and obtain better outcome and benefit the patients.
