美国麻醉学医师协会(American Society of Anesthesiologists, ASA)更新了成人和儿童患者困难气道管理指南，并纳入了新的流程(流程1和流程2)和信息图表。

新版指南强调：
应在整个气道管理过程期间优先考虑氧合；
无论使用何种气道设备，都应基于呼气末CO2检测结果来确认通气情况；
用各设备或技术进行气道管理时，应最多尝试3次，之后由气道操作技术更精湛者再尝试1次[1]。
新版还提供了更有力的拔管指导。
